Snow in Santa Barbara

We've been getting rain off and on for the past few days. Sunday morning we woke up to snow on the mountains above Santa Barbara. These are the mountains that have experience 3 wild fires over the past 4 years. We decided to drive up there and try to experience some of the snow. The map below shows how close this is to our house-- 16 miles! And you can see how close we are to the ocean. So it's such a wild experience to be this close to snow for us... now granted it's not a lot of snow, but it's still snow (be sure to watch the video-- proof it was actually snowing).
The shot of mountain where were were headed (you can see a little of the snow on top, the clouds are the storm)

We ran into some friends up there-- Jane was so happy to see Lila and her mom Maryam.
It was blowing so bad in the photo below. Maryam sent it and said, "here is a photo from our ski vacation".  Felt like such a different place-- not Santa Barbara!
